All Queensland schools will implement the Australian Curriculum for English, Mathematics, Science, Geography and History in Prep to Year 10 from 2012; and Health and Physical Education in 2015. This is supported in Queensland State Schools through the Curriculum into the Classroom (C2C) resources. Other curriculum key learning areas in primary schools include The Arts, Languages other than English (LOTE - Japanese at Tannum Sands State School) and Technology. Resources and syllabus material for these key learning areas is provided by the Queensland Curriculum & Assessment Authority (QCAA).
At Tannum Sands State School the Dimensions of teaching and learning form the basis of every teacher's professional practice. Their work is supported by the Head of Curriculum and other administration staff to ensure the best possible learning environment for your child.
