Our library is central to implementing, enriching and supporting the teaching and learning program of our school. Our library provides a wide range of relevant resources, services and technologies to satisfy the varied curriculum and recreational needs of its users and our staff is proactive in developing information literate students and supporting an information literate community.
Our library promotes a reading culture and provides opportunities for users to engage in a variety of literature enrichment activities. By encouraging a regular borrowing routine, participating in national literary initiatives such as Library Lovers Day, National Simultaneous Storytime and Book Week and offering students the opportunity to interact with award winning authors and illustrators through links with the Curtis Coast Literary Carnivale our students become engaged readers. These activities help our students become personally connected to books and learn how literature teaches us about our lives and the world in which we live.
